American singer Katy Perry is going to marry Russell Brand and she says that she will apply to become a citizen of the UK.

She said,”When I get married next month, one of the first things I’ll do is apply for dual citizenship,” the Sun quoted her as saying. “I’m not too sure if I have to take a test as I’ve not had time to look into it. But England is like my second home”.

Katy Perry is on UK at this time for promotion of her second album ‘Teenage Dream’. She said, “There’s a track on the new album called Firework, which is about him directly. It’s my favourite.” She Added “I’m trying not to speak about Russell and am concentrating on my music. I’m trying to keep a hold on the celebrity thing. I’m a singer.”

“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, as you can see by my top.” She added wearing a T-shirt saying happy.
