Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) started construction of their plant at Chennai on June 6, 2009 for the total cost of 4500 crore. It will start producing vehicles from may 2010. RNAIPL is 50-50 joint venture between Renault and Nissan.
