Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and his daughter Poorna Patel are now in news for IPL controversy. According to latest leak mail by Poorna, Praful helped Shashi Tharoor to know the possible quotes before opening of IPL bid for two new franchises and Tharoor was well aware of possible quotes in the bid.
Tharoor got this mail form Champa on March 19, 2010 at 10.06 pm. Poorna Patel sent mail to Praful’s personal secretary Champa Bhardwaj, which was forwarded to Tharoor and Poorna got this mail from IPL CEO Sundar Raman containing details of IPL bid.
24 year old Poorna looks after IPL’s marketing services and hospitality. It is also learnt that liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s step daughter Laila and Poorna were closely involved in the bidding. After Tharoor, the ongoing IPL controversy is all set to haunt another UPA minister. Earlier, Patel had categorically denied his link in IPL controversy but after his daughter’s e-mail brought him under scanner.
